Acne – Back (‘Bacne’)

Acne on the back, or ‘Bacne’ as some call it, is really common. It can be tricky to treat, as it’s a hard spot to reach to apply medicated products.

Medicated washes can be helpful, such as 10% benzoyl peroxide or 2% salicylic acid, left on for 1-2 minutes and then rinsed off. For more severe cases, oral medication such as antibiotics, hormonal agents in females, or isotretinoin may be required.
